POMPON IN THE THEATER
BONNET À POMPON FOR FUNDACIÓN ALADINA
Together with the illustrator Ximena Maier, Bonnet à Pompon presents its first book to bring culture closer to children, showing us the interior of one of the most spectacular buildings in Madrid: the Royal Theater. This book is a non-profit project that will donate its profits to Fundación Aladina.
"The hope of being children"
Fundación Aladina:
Fundación Aladina was born in 2005 thanks to Paco Arango, with the aim of protecting thousands of children and adolescents suffering from cancer so that they never lose their smile.
Every year, Fundación Aladina helps more than 1,500 children and families in the 13 hospitals with which it collaborates, in addition to inaugurating in 2016, the new children's ICU of Niño Jesús Hospital.
Aladina provides support to children, adolescents and families offering psychological, emotional and material assistance. A great team of volunteers make all this magic happen!
Teatro Real:
The Royal Theater opened its doors in the first half of the 19th century. Magic happens inside it. It is the Madrid opera house, located in Plaza de Oriente, in front of the Royal Palace. How not to get lost in each of its corners? Ximena Maier shows them to us in this book.
Ximena Maier:
Ximena is that girl glued to a color palette, capable of registering what happens before her eyes with four outstanding brush strokes. Only she could propose such a magical and different tour of the Royal Theater. She already did something similar taking readers into the Prado Museum and the Natural Sciences Museum in other books. Now Ximena occupies her seat in the Royal Theater: let the show begin!
